We attended the mochitsuki party, which has been held annually at the Hashiba Neighborhood Association. People from the US, New Zealand, Taiwan, and South Korea, participated.  An American participant, who had arrived in Japan yesterday said,” This was my first time trying rice cake pounding.  It was a supreme experience.
