Held Cool Evening Party
On a Thursday, the eighteenth of July, our annual Cool Evening Party was held. Around one hundred and twenty people attended. Due to the assistance of many general and student volunteers, the party’s participants enjoyed the Bon Odri (Bon dance) and Japanese festival games such as yo-yo fishing. That was not all, as there were also a yukata try-on, shaved ice, pastries, bowling, a picture postcard workshop, balloon art!
This year’s special guest was a samba dancing team, Festanza. With the dancers in glamorous and vividly- colored costumes and, paired with bright and cheerful music, the party was greatly energized. There was some time for others to give it ago; those participants enjoyed the first-time samba experience. Games, dancing and music each help to connect people of disparate language and cultural background.
