High school entrance information session in easy Japanese for students, parents and carers whose first language is not Japanese was held on the 1st of November (Sunday) at Nakano Zero West Hall. Since the programme began six years ago, the session informs, in easy Japanese, about Japanese high school education system, Tokyo Metropolitan high schools and its special entrance requirements for foreign residents in Tokyo. It can be also explained in various languages with aid of voluntary translators. The speaker decided it should be run in easy Japanese, which, to some participants might feel like a lack of consideration of their situation. However, it is always planned thoughtfully for applicable students, their parents and carers. There were more attendants who were parents, carers and 1st and 2nd grade students this year and the more interest was observed.
