It was a global meeting which was only possible online as the participants were not only non-Japanese Nakano residents, but also Chinese students in a language school in Nakano who were studying
online from China.
In part 1, recipes chosen from the past lessons, which were healthy, were introduced by APG members. Afterwards there were requests from some participants to join a cooking lesson after the Covid 19 pandemic ended.
In part 2, “Children’s Diner and free classes” was introduced by a Nakano volunteer Ms. Noguchi and the state of activities of the children’s diner “Yui” was reported by Ms. Saito who ran the diner. The participants showed their interest to join as volunteers.
It was a successful event to connect Nakano non-Japanese residents to Japanese food culture and locality of Nakano.
