On Saturday the 25th of June 15 Japanese and non-Japanese people from Poland, France, Nepal, China and Korea attended a monitor tour at Ikebukuro Life Safety Learning Center. At first we had an experience of an earthquake. We hid under the desks, but a 7 magnitude earthquake was hard enough to shake the desks. Next we were taught how to use a fire extinguisher. We learnt that we have to shout loudly “Fire!” to inform people around the fire, when we detect a fire. Lastly we learnt how to use AED. AED has a voice instruction so that we can deal with it if we act calmly. Our guide lead us in easy Japanese throughout. It was an easy to understand experience.
