On Saturday the 27th of May some volunteers and Japanese language learners from ANIC went to Koushushi-City in Yamanashi Prefecture.
At first we visited a herb garden. In the herb garden, needles to say, there were various kinds of herbs and also there was a variety of different coloured roses in bloom beautifully.
Then for lunch we had Hoto (hot pot noodle dish), Yamanashi Prefecture’s speciality. There were some non-Japanese people who had Hoto for the first time, but they all finished the dish.
After that we did “Fill your box with Shingen-machi” which we were looking forward to. Everybody played very seriously and 18 Mochi was the most packed.
Next we had a Zazen experience in Daizenji Temple. This is the temple possesing National treasures. Our souls were refreshed.
Lastly we went “Budo-no-Oka (A Hill with grapes)”. We had a spectacular view of Koshu Valley. It was a lovely place.
We all would like to have a chance to visit Koshu-City again which produces a lot of fruits.
