Saginomiya Japanese language classes have started.
The Saginomiya Karuta was played in the Saginomiya Japanese language class at the beginning of 2025.
Saginomiya karuta is a card game of matching phrase cards with picture cards, which were collected from local people’s work.
We finished learning Japanese early and enjoyed playing ‘karuta’.
The students wanted to win as many cards as possible, so their bodies gradually leaned forward. This was a sight not seen during Japanese language study class.
