Notice from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government （a national census）
The Japanese Government will conduct a national census as of the first of October in 2020. The period of answering the questionnaire is from September the 14th to October the 7th. The investigators will deliver Login ID and Access Key to your mail boxes. You need those for answering the questionnaire in a paper form or via internet. This is a statistical survey based on the law. People from overseas, who live in Japan are also supposed to answer this. The answers are not to be used for other purposes such as the immigration control and policing. The result of the census will be used to ensure that those from overseas will have an easier life in Japan. You can answer via the internet in Chinese, English, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, or Vietnam. you can answer the questionnaire anytime in a day — via a smart phone, tablet, or personal computer. There are strict rules in the law to protect our names, addresses, and phone numbers on the law. The investigators carry the investigator IDs.
Be careful about frauds and suspicious surveys. The census process will never ask for money. They also never ask for bank account numbers, and credit card numbers.
