As the state of emergency was announced, the first Outdoor Exchange Meeting had to be postponed.

This year’s Outdoor Exchange Meetings will be split into 4 courses to avoid having too many attendees. The first walking meeting will be strolling around Higashi Nakano area. It includes a special viewing of “Nogakudo”.We will also visit Hikawa-Shrine and Hosenji-Temple.
Nakano Hikawa Jinjya (shrine): The origin is that in 1030 a shrine was built and it possesses a lot of designated tangible cultural properties by Nakano Ward such as Chikara ishi (a stone for lifting competition), Komainu (a stone curved guardian dogs) and others.
Nogakudo: It is a theatre for “Noh”, the traditional Japanese play, with a stage. It was specially designed for sunlight to shine on the stage.
The Old Folk House Café, Momo Garten: This is a café which is a conversion of a 60 year old folk house. You can enjoy a variety of dishes including juice from persimmons grown in their own garden.
Hosenji-Temple: This is one of the biggest temples in Nakano. During the war it accommodated a city office inside the property. It has some educational institutions such as a college.
