It was the last day for the Children’s Japanese Language Class in Summer, on August 30th.
The guests from the Education Committee of the Nakano ward, school teachers, parents from the PTA, and neighborhood residents ––were invited to the speech contest as the result of the hard study of the Japanese language.
Some who came to Japan recently gave personal introductions or talked about their favorite food. Some who were challenged in expression of more complicated issues, worked hard to present speeches on such as Dreams for the Future, My School Days, My Family, and Things I Noticed in Japan.
Over the course of this summer, thirty-seven students studied Japanese with twenty-three language volunteers.
Day by day, the students studied very hard during such hot weather. Heartfelt thanks go out to all of those who have supported this program.
