Last year, on the twenty-sixth of December (a Wednesday night), the Friday Volunteers Group and people
from France joined the night patrol conducted by the children belonging to the South Entrance Neighborhood Association. Upon request, ANIC kindly was granted the favor of the association toparticipate in the event. This is the partnership’s seventh anniversary。
Since the night patrol is an example of our cultural heritage and is also a rare and invaluable experience today, we should conserve it. It was also a precious opportunity to speak with members of an association deeply rooted in the local community.
We patrolled the neighborhood with the children of the neighborhood association beating wooden clappers while shouting aloud “Beware of fire!”.
