On the third of August, a Friday, twenty-four students of the TCC Japanese School were involved in the Kitano Shrine’s Bon Odori (Bon dancing) at Matsugaoka, Nakano. The participants were Chinese, Vietnamese and Taiwanese.
They had their hair set and donned kimono. In the course of dressing, some were uncertain about which color they preferred and switched them. When they finished with preparations, a photo session began. They took many pictures of one another. Nineteen tried colorful kimonos and they looked particularly nice in them.
In the dancing place, the members of the Katayama-cho Neighborhood Association in Matsugaoka were very amiable and everyone danced until the final moments. It was a good and memorable night.
