Participated in the Nakano-Ku Comprehensive Disaster Drill
On Sunday the 13th November at Midorino Junior High School and on Sunday 27th of November at Momozono 2nd Primary School, “The Nakano-Ku Comprehensive Disaster Drill” was held and our volunteers and foreign residents who were Japanese language learners , 50 in total, participated.
In our booth “Easy Japanese” as well as the method of sending and offering information with simple pictographs were introduced to the residents at the drill.
Especially “Easy Japanese” was highly interesting to the disaster prevention association officers and general citizens so that we were confident in Easy Japanese’s future use.
Voicetra, which is an application of multilingual translator (at present 31 languages can be translatable and audible.) was experienced by the disaster prevention association officers and the school staff and this opportunity would be a trigger to be widely used. The foreign residents could join the drill through the voluntary interpretors support.
