On April 17 (Wed.) at Yayoi Japanese Class, Japanese language volunteers and Japanese language students made “Chirashi-zushi” which appears in the ANIC textbook (Lesson 16).
When asked, “Do you know ‘Chirashi-zushi’? They replied, “I don’t know what it is.”
“Is it seafood sushi?” They replied.
It seems that they do not have many opportunities to eat Chirashi-zushi at restaurants. It is a Japanese home-style dish.
“Chirashi zushi” has different ingredients in each household and in each region.
One of the Japanese language students said, “You will never forget it once you experience it.” And he asked, “What is the name of the tub that contains the sushi?”
The experience broadened their interest and they had a great time while eating “Chirashi-zushi”.
