Tanabata at the Yayoi Japanese Language Class
On the 26 of June (Wed), at the Yayoi Ward Citizens’ Activity Centre we participated in the Tanabata event.
Tanabata was explained in easy Japanese in the classroom. Afterwards, the students wrote their wishes on strips of paper (Tanzaku), such as ‘May my family be healthy’ or “May the Yayoi Nihongo Class continue forever’.
They decorated them on the bamboo branches.
